To Larry...

  • So for me horror is anything that causes me to question the established order of the world by causing me to think that there is something sinister just beyond my comprehension or consciousness

    • An example would be what would it take for a camping trip to go from a normal experience to one that would open up into the world of the unknown

  • However, I feel that the questioning must come from an irrational fear

    • This would be the difference between being in the woods fearing a bear attack versus the Blair Witch popping up.

To Justin...

To me, horror gives a sense that there is something creepy or malicious happening just feet away from what we are seeing. Horror gives a constant fear of something real, monstrous,
or supernatural. It doesn't need to be gory (I know a lot of people think that) but to be honest there can be a PG-13 film that will scare the crap out of me. .
I need to feel uneasy, stressed, and honestly scared. I love when horror movies have good tension building and know when they can get away having a simple jump scare that just rocks me to my core.
